Lititz Bicycle Re-Cycle

Do you have an unused bike collecting dust in your garage or shed? Feel like doing something good for your community? Consider donating it to Lititz Bikeworks! Back in November, we started a program called Bicycle Recycle – the mission of the program is to refurbish donated bikes and give those bikes to members of the community who are needing or deserving.

So, how does the donation process work? It’s pretty simple, just bring the bike you want to donate to Lititz Bikeworks and we will do an evaluation of the bike to ensure it can be in safe riding condition once repaired. We reserve the right to refuse any donation if the bike isn’t a good match for the program.

What kind of bikes are we looking for? Hybrid and mountain bikes mainly, but we will consider any bicycle for the program. If you are unsure of what style of bike you have or want to confirm if it’s a donation we would consider, feel free to text or email an image of the bike to Lititz Bikeworks.

How are we giving away the bikes once they’re ready to ride? We will be working with local nonprofits and school districts along with a nomination form, linked here. If you know of someone who you feel would benefit from a bike, please take a few minutes to fill out the form linked above.
