Bikeworks Junior Race Team is a free program sponsored exclusively by Lititz Bikeworks for riders ages 9-15. Our team competes in and around the Keystone state in UCI sanctioned cyclocross events. Our coaching staff consists of a group of volunteers dedicated to practice, endurance, and teamwork for the team. “Pinneaple Crush Cross”
When: Sunday, September 17 2023

Age Group: Open to all kids on the team

About the race: Join the crew of STK Cycling as we “takeover” the prestigious Fifth Street ‘Cross course in Emmaus, PA and bring you Pineapple Crush ‘Cross. Get ready, the folks at Fifth Street ‘Cross have designed this course provide racers with the widest range of features and obstacles including off camber, sweeping and hairpin turns, Belgium steps, barriers, pump track section and then there’s the crush ‘em like a pineapple Shimano Hill. You’ll “bust the rust” on ALL your ‘cross skills and have the most fun doing it!

Little Belgians: Our youngest racers are welcome to test out their legs and cornering skills by doing a few laps of the mini course set up in the soccer field. The course will be open for practice and play in the morning. The Little Belgium’s race will start at 12:15 PM and racers will do 2-3 laps.

“Carpenter Cross”

About the race: Carpenter Cross takes place in Deep Meadow Park in the once nationally ranked “Best Place to Live,” Horsham Township in Pennsylvania. Carpenter Cross was establish in September 2018 and has been running for 4 years strong.

Little Belgians: A fun kids race will start at 12:00 pm for kids too young to race on the real course (10 and Under). A parent must sign the event release form prior to the race, and each kid will be given a race number. Pedal bikes or strider bikes are acceptable. All entrants will receive prizes for participation.

“Charm City Cross”
When: Saturday and Sunday, September 30, October 1 2023

Age Group: Open to all kids on the team

About the race: As a UCI sanctioned C1 event, and the Mid Atlantic’s premier 2-day cyclocross race, Charm City Cross is one of North America’s largest professional cyclocross races. Featuring both international pro and regional cyclists, Charm City Cross is held annually in Baltimore, MD.

Little Belgians: Little Belgians races will be held on both Saturday and Sunday at noon.

“Crossasaurus Awesome”
When: Saturday, October 14 2023

Where: Upper Salford Park, Upper Salford Township, PA 18971
Age Group: Open to all kids on the team

About the race: Racing at Crossasaurus Awesome will make you AWESOME. Racing anywhwere else will not make you awesome. The race will be held on the grounds of the Upper Salford Township park. A portion of the registration fees are used to maintain the park for future events.

Little Belgians: A “Little Dinosaurs” race will be held at 11:45. Fee is $1 per dinosaur.

“Frosty Cross”
When: Saturday, November 18 2023

Where: The Baltimore County Agricultural Center in Cockeysville, Maryland
Age Group: Open to all kids on the team

About the race: Our cycling community comes together each year to support the Baltimore Youth Cycling – Frosty Cross Race. Organized and run by the Baltimore Youth Cycling team, this race has a first class venue with varied terrain and degrees of difficulty. As expected . . . our race has an emphasis on junior categories separating junior racers by age enabling them to race within their age group.

Little Belgians: Little Belgians races will be held at noon.

“Sly Fox”

Where: 331 Circle of Progress Drive Pottstown, PA 19464
Age Group: Open to all kids on the team

About the race: With a course that starts on the Circle of Progress, careens around an outdoor beer garden, dives into a technical wooded section, and includes a muddy, muscle-wrenching stair set, Sly Fox Cyclocross is a solid fit for adventurous racers and fun-loving spectators. Make a day out of it! We grill outside and serve beer all around the course while our Tastin’ Room offers food specials. What better way to combine the Sly Fox community with the cycling community than with the madness that is cyclocross?
